Cyclones Volleyball earn AVCA Team Academic Award

The 2015-2016 Volleyball team at St. Cloud Technical and Community College led by Coach Heidi Smith has earned the AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2015 season. This award honors teams who have matched their dedication to the sport of volleyball with excellence in the classroom. The team must have a team GPA of 3.3 to qualify for this award. Meeting these award standards is a high achievement and a great representation of the hardworking students we have here at SCTCC.

In addition to their academic efforts, the Cyclones had their best season in program history which included being nationally ranked for the first time in program history and finishing conference runner's up which also was a program first.

Team members include Amazih Eickhoff, Cierra Washington, Abigail Irsfeld, Chloe Callahan, Payton Thompson, MaKenna Hegseth, Maija Erzar, Hannah VanHale, Christina Salzl, Sydney Wittnebel, Lauren Gillson, Taylor Lenzen, Vanessa Brenny, Sadie Hukriede, Micale Gillson, and Alex Ludington.
