Cyclones Ready for 2021 Season
The 2021 SCTCC Cyclone volleyball team is overly excited to start the season after their 2020 season was canceled due to Covid-19. Practice started August 9th, with their first competition of the season on Wednesday, August 25th.
The Cyclones have 6 returning sophomores academically, but are first years in their eligibility since they didn't have a season last year. Karissa Lintgen from St Cloud Tech, Maya Workman from Sartell, Maddie Beumer from Annandale, Sara Geiser from Minnewaska, Maggie Kohl from Robbinsdale-Cooper and Anck-Su-namun Mortel from White Bear Lake.
Incoming first years include Kailee Barnett and Mckayla Balder from Onamia, McKenna Gross from Foley, Emily Evenson from Albany, Allie Fritz from Norwood-Young America and Brynn Johnson from Paynesville.
The Cyclones start the season with a home streak with their first match of the season is on Wednesday, August 25th at 7pm versus Dakota County Technical College. Followed by Friday, August 27th at 6:30pm versus Hibbing Community College. Wednesday, September 1st the Cyclones host Century College at 6:30pm. All matches take place at the St Cloud Whitney Center.
